- Public Islamic Mixed Asset Fund (PIMXAF or the Fund) is a domestic mixed asset fund that seeks to achieve capital growth over the medium- to long-term period by investing in a portfolio of Shariah-compliant investments. The Fund may invest up to 30% of its net asset value (NAV) in foreign markets to tap into broader investment opportunities overseas.
- As at 31 July 2025, 65.7% of PIMXAF’s NAV was invested in Shariah-compliant equities while 30.3% and 4.0% of its NAV was invested in sukuk and Islamic money market instruments respectively. The Fund focused on the communications, industrial, utilities, technology and consumer sectors in the domestic and foreign markets.
- From its commencement on 12 December 2011 to 31 July 2025, the Fund registered a return of +64.57% to outperform its benchmark’s return of +29.40%. The outperformance was led by its selected investments within the communications and technology sectors which benefitted from the increased digitalisation of the consumer and corporate environments.
- For the 3-year, 5-year and 10-year periods ended 31 July 2025, PIMXAF registered respective returns of +26.74%, +11.96% and +36.63% to outperform its benchmark’s respective returns of +8.52%, -5.82% and +5.87%.
- Going forward, the Fund will continue to focus on sectors which offer long-term growth prospects such as communications and technology within the domestic and foreign markets.
