Through Public Mutual’s 4 New Funds
Public Bank’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Public Mutual, is launching four new funds, namely Public e-Islamic Asia Thematic Growth Fund (PeIATGF), Public e-Asia Evolving Growth Fund (PeAEVGF), Public e-Al-Mutawazan Strategy Fund (PeMZSF) and Public Asia Pacific Focus Fund (PAPFF) on 30 November 2021.
Public e-Islamic Asia Thematic Growth Fund (PeIATGF)
PeIATGF seeks to benefit from key themes in the Asian region that offer sustainable earnings growth and are versatile to economic changes over the long term. The Fund invests 75% to 98% of its net asset value (NAV) in Shariah-compliant equities. The key themes that the Fund may focus on are sustainable / renewable energy solutions, recovery plays, the return of the workforce, as well as the online video game boom.
Public e-Asia Evolving Growth Fund (PeAEVGF)
Besides that, investors who wish to invest in stocks of companies which are poised to benefit from evolving themes amid changing business cycles primarily in the Asian region may consider investing in PeAEVGF. The Fund is positioned to benefit from the varying economic growth trajectories of countries across Asia by investing 75% to 98% of its NAV in equities. The Fund seeks long-term trends and capitalises on structural shifts that have an impact on the economy. The key sectors that PeAEVGF may capitalise on are the technology, consumer and financial sectors.
Public e-Al-Mutawazan Strategy Fund (PeMZSF)
On the other hand, PeMZSF is a domestic Islamic balanced fund which aims to achieve capital growth over the long term through a balanced asset allocation approach. 35% to 65% of its NAV will be invested in Shariah-compliant equities, while its sukuk portfolio may range from 35% to 65% of the Fund’s NAV. The Fund will invest primarily in Shariah-compliant equities of companies which have the potential to generate earnings growth over the long term and may be positioned in companies that stand to benefit from the post-pandemic global economic recovery. Investing in balanced funds provides numerous benefits, such as a portfolio that is diversified and constantly rebalanced, as well as more stable returns while in pursuit of capital growth.
The minimum initial and additional investment amount for funds under the Public e-Series is RM100, with a sales charge up to 3.75% of NAV per unit.
Public Asia Pacific Focus Fund (PAPFF)
Meanwhile, PAPFF looks to capitalise on the Asia Pacific region’s rebound in 2021 amid improved domestic demand and exports among the key regional economies. As such, the Fund may seek investment opportunities in sectors such as technology and green energy, as well as sectors that are poised to benefit from the economic upcycle within the region. The Fund seeks to achieve long-term capital growth by investing 75% to 98% of its NAV in equities and focuses on companies which have the potential to generate earnings growth over the long term. The minimum initial investment for PAPFF is RM1,000 while the minimum additional investment is only RM100, with a sales charge of up to 5.00% of NAV per unit.
The initial offer price for the funds is RM0.25 per unit during the 21-day initial offer period from 30 November to 20 December 2021.
All funds under the Public e-Series are available exclusively online via our Public Mutual Online (PMO) platform whereas PAPFF is distributed by Public Mutual’s unit trust consultants.
