  • Public e-Pioneer Entrepreneur Fund (PePEF or the Fund) invests 75% to 98% of its net asset value (NAV) primarily in a portfolio of pioneer entrepreneur stocks, which refer to stocks of companies whereby the founder of the company is part of the company’s management team and/or sits on the company’s board of directors at the point of purchase. Additionally, up to 20% of the Fund’s NAV may be invested in other stocks listed in global markets.
  • As at 30 August 2023, 74.0% of PePEF’s NAV was invested in equities while 26.0% of its NAV was invested in money market instruments. The Fund focused on sectors such as communications, technology, financial and consumer in the global markets.
  • For the year-to-date period up to 30 August 2023, the Fund registered a return of +19.90% to outperform its benchmark’s return of +9.75%. This outperformance was led by the Fund’s selected holdings of communications and technology stocks which benefitted from the resilient U.S. economy and the structural growth of the digitalisation trends.
  • For the 1-year period ended 30 August 2023, the Fund also registered a return of +15.86% to outperform its benchmark’s return of +11.10%.
  • Going forward, the Fund will remain positioned in the communications and technology sectors which are underpinned by the ongoing migration to cloud services as well as the increased digitalisation of the consumer and corporate environments. The Fund will also invest in the financial and consumer sectors which stand to benefit from sustained consumer spending.
