
Community Outreach Programme
At Public Mutual, we are committed to sustainability and aim to make a positive impact on the communities around us.
With an emphasis on Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations, Public Mutual has played an active role in empowering communities with personal financial planning and investment-related knowledge. Through webinars and money management talks organised under our MoneyKu initiative, we help to equip the underserved and vulnerable segments within these communities to build better financial futures for themselves and their families.
Likewise, we also have initiatives contributing to the protection of wildlife and other ecosystems in efforts to preserve the sustainability of the environment.
Environmental & Wildlife Conservation Efforts
Turtle Conservation Programme – 12 July 2025
Public Mutual staff members and Unit Trust Consultants (UTCs) gathered at the waterfront near the D’Wharf Hotel in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan to participate in a beach-cleaning activity, identify turtle egg nests, plant turtle eggs — with over 100 eggs planted. The initiative is part of Public Mutual’s ongoing efforts and commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) within its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework.

Bring Your Own Container/Cups/Cutlery (BYOC) Campaign
Launched in July 2022, the ongoing Bring Your Own Container (BYOC) campaign encourages staff to use reusable containers, cups, and cutlery for takeout orders. This initiative reduces plastic waste and supports Public Mutual’s commitment to sustainability and a low-carbon future.
Old Shoes Donation Campaign (15 April 2025-30 May 2025)
Through the “Old Sole New Life” campaign with EcoKnights, Public Mutual staff donated 178kg of old shoes to be repurposed into materials for community projects like playground surfaces. The initiative raises awareness on shoe waste and promotes responsible disposal, reflecting Public Mutual’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) values while showing how small actions can create a positive environmental and social impact.
Giving Back to the Society
Kuching Branch Supports Local Charity Body – 28 September 2025
18 Unit Trust Consultants (UTCs) and two staff members from the Kuching branch took part in a Charity Food Fair event organised by Kuching Life Care Society. Held at Dewan Masyarakat Bandaraya Kuching Selatan, the event aimed to raise funds to support the society’s community welfare and care initiatives.
Visitors were able to contribute to charitable causes and browse the various vendors. The Kuching branch in particular, offered packed noodles, drink packets, biscuits and crackers, canned food, and handmade soap, successfully raising more than RM2,000 in total. Overall, the event encouraged community participation and generosity, bringing people together to support those in need.
Melaka Branch: ‘Giving Together, Changing Lives Forever!’ – 5 July 2025
A team of nine Unit Trust Consultants (UTCs) and five staff members from the Melaka branch gathered at Pusat Jagaan Kasih Sayang Angel for a ‘Giving Together, Changing Lives Forever!’ charity programme, distributing essential supplies to the children and caretakers of the orphanage.
Shortly after arriving, the team held an entertaining game session with the children. They then distributed the donation items, which were cotton blankets, baby wet wipes, a five-tier drawer, plenty of snacks, as well as ready-to-eat food and drinks. In the spirit of community, the team went out of their way to give back to the people.
Seremban Branch Upholds Kindness and Spiritual Values – 21 March 2025
The Seremban branch organised ‘Infaq Ramadhan 2025’, a charity drive to support those in need during the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative brought together a total of 41 dedicated contributors, including agency leaders, Unit Trust Consultants (UTCs) and staff members.
Out of these contributors, 11 individuals took part in the on-site distribution of essential supplies, personally delivering aid to deserving recipients in the spirit of compassion and togetherness. A heartfelt appreciation goes out to everyone involved for their efforts in bringing light and smiles to the families.
Muar Branch: On the Drive to Save Lives – 1 March 2025
In collaboration with Hospital Pakar Sultanah Fatimah, the Muar branch organised a community blood donation drive at Po Chiak Keng Ten Clan Ancestral Hall in Muar, Johor. With the dedication and support of branch staff, hospital personnel, and local community members, the event brought everyone together in a shared commitment to saving lives. Thanks to their collective effort, the drive concluded successfully with the collection of 48 bags of blood as well as the registration of two new organ donors.
Cheras Branch Charity Day - 13 December 2024
The Public Mutual Cheras branch recently visited Bandar Damai Homecare and Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Istimewa Insan (PKKII), delivering essential supplies such as food, cleaning items, and other necessities.
A heartfelt thank you to our incredible UTCs for their generous contributions of essential items and funds. Your kindness and unwavering support have provided not only much-needed relief, but also warmth and joy to these children.

Toys Donation Campaign (15 May 2024-14 June 2024)
Public Mutual organised the “ToyAids4Kids” donation campaign with Play Unlimited, collecting over 600 preloved toys from staff. These toys were donated to Play Unlimited at Damen Mall, USJ, to support their toy recycling hubs and libraries for underprivileged families in community housing areas and native villages—promoting reuse, reducing waste, and protecting the environment.
Webinars & Money Management Talks
Talks and webinars were organised with the aim of enhancing financial literacy among our investors and the general public.
Financial Literacy Talk @ Universiti Putra Malaysia – 1 December 2025
Public Mutual organised a financial literacy talk for the students of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), to foster financial literacy and responsible money management among the youth. The session was attended by 45 students who were eager to learn more about financial management.
Group Agency Manager Mr. Afiq Syazwan bin Afandi from the Cheras branch delivered a resonating presentation about ‘Gen Z Glow Up: Get Rich without Giving Up Your Lifestyle’. Focused on the lifestyle of UPM students, Mr. Afiq aimed to promote good habits such as budgeting, saving, and investing early while also introducing them to the concept of financial planning for their future.
Investors Day 2025 – 27 September 2025
Over 100 people attended Public Mutual Investor Day 2025, held at the HQ in Menara Public Bank 2, Jalan Raja Chulan.
The event began with a Global Economic & Market Outlook presentation, offering an in-depth overview into the current state of investment markets. This was followed by a session on Understanding Distribution, aimed for attendees to better understand how investment distributions work.
An investment forum, Investment Opportunities in a Shifting Landscape, provided insight in exploring major economic developments through discussions led by financial experts.
Following a lunch break, attendees participated in Keys to Successful Investing. The event concluded its talk sessions with a special presentation, Intelligent Driving – Staying Safe Behind the Wheel, which highlighted essential aspects of road safety.
With the availability of various booths and vendors, the event was made even merrier with attendees having fun and enjoying shopping during the break.
