Ride on Growth Opportunities in the
Sustainable Investing Sphere
Public Bank’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Public Mutual, is launching a new fund named PB Sustainable Growth Fund (PBSTGRF) on 5 September 2023.
PBSTGRF aims to capitalise on the long-term growth prospects of companies primarily in the domestic market that incorporate sustainability / environmental, social & governance (ESG) considerations in their business practices. As companies invest in ESG efforts that lead to sustainable outcomes for the environment and community, they also gain competitive advantages in terms of improved efficiency1 and greater innovation2. This, in turn, contributes positively to the companies’ revenue growth and overall profitability3, potentially providing investors with added value in return for their investments.
The Fund will invest 75% to 98% of its net asset value (NAV) in shares or securities equivalent to shares primarily in the domestic market, with the balance invested in money market instruments and deposits. Up to 30% of PBSTGRF’s NAV may also be invested in the foreign markets to diversify the Fund’s portfolio and tap into the broader array of sustainable investment opportunities globally.
The initial issue price for PBSTGRF is RM0.25 per unit during the 21-day initial offer period from 5 to 25 September 2023. The minimum initial investment amount is RM1,000 while the minimum additional investment amount is only RM100.
In conjunction with our Awards Celebration Campaign 2023, investors will stand a chance to walk away with a brand new Toyota Corolla Cross, gold coins/bars and other attractive prizes when they invest during the campaign period.
